Drama (Year 10)
Course Summary
Art you interesting in communicating ideas through visual language? Are you creative and like to design? By studying Visual Communication Design you will engage in a range of activities to develop technical drawing skills (manual and digital), learn how to apply the design process and develop a sense of design aesthetics. You will be equipped to study and analyse existing designers to understand how they attract and engage their audience.
Learning Activities & Assessment
- Explore the basic principles of dramatic theory including improvisation, role play and scripted pieces
- Develop dramatic skills, use of voice, spatial awareness and appreciation of stagecraft
- Create and present drama which explores themes, issues and ideas using different styles and forms
- Analyse and interpret the structure, content and aesthetical qualities of drama through workshop and performance
- Perform to your own devised work as well as scripted plays for an audiences
