Chemistry

Course Summary

Are you creative and interested in reactions, chemical reactions? Do you want to know what underpins the production and development of energy, the maintenance of clean air and water, the production of food, medicines and new materials, and the treatment of waste? Studying Chemistry enables you to examine a range of chemical, biochemical and geophysical phenomena through the exploration of the nature of chemicals and chemical processes. You’ll develop an understanding of the structure of materials, ionic compounds, periodic table, chemical energy sources, manufacturing processes and much more.

VCE: Unit 1, Unit 2 and Unit 3 & 4 sequence available
