Course Summary

Digital Technologies is designed as a pathway into VET Creative & Digital Media and introduces students to the skills, software and creative processes used in the digital media industry. 

Students will explore game development, 3D modelling, animation and web design through a range of hands-on projects using industry-standard software. They will design and develop a 3D maze game using Maya and Unreal Engine, create a 2D animation, and build a website to showcase their digital portfolio. 

Students will develop skills in creativity, communication, problem-solving and digital production while building a portfolio of work that demonstrates their technical and design capabilities. 

This subject provides an excellent foundation for students considering VET Creative & Digital Media, as well as future pathways in game design, animation, digital content creation, web development and the broader creative industries.
